Grohe 22601Ln0 Sense Smart Water Sensor – White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a basement sump pump, we always have to worry that one day the pump may unknowingly fail, flooding our basement. The Grohe Sense Leak Sensor is a simple solution to this issue, as it will email alert us if water should start backing up onto our floor in the event the sump pump fails. Installation was easy, as I simply had to open the unit and install the included batteries and then place it on the floor next to the sump pump basin. I then downloaded the Grohe ONDUS app and followed the instructions to setup the unit with our Wi-Fi network. Once connected, the unit immediately began monitoring for water leakage, temperature and humidity. To test it, I poured a small amount of water on the floor and let it flow to the unit. It immediately alerted to the water being sensed and by the time I picked it up to wipe it off I had already received a flood alert via email. The Grohe Sense Leak Sensor will give us piece of mind knowing that we will quickly be alerted in the event of any flooding, plus we are able to monitor the temperature and humidity of our basement via the Grohe ONDUS app on our smartphone.
