[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After putting in a new gate, the regular handle and latch were not enough to help secure the base of the gate – this is perfect. Not only does it help secure the bottom of the gate but reduces the risk of the gate becoming offset due to being pushed in/out at the bottom. Very easy to install but effective and simple solution.
